I have to say, though, that in my opinion the 690 Rally is the best base platform for this. Let’s talk about the advantages of the 690 Rally over the 690 Enduro or other production bikes on the market. I see this as breaking down into six categories: 1) Suspension and chassis set-up 2) Fuel Capacity 3) Carburettor 4) Simplicity of systems
1- KTM 690 Enduro R - 2009 - 18.500km Has an extra SM kit (I value SM kit highly) Akrapovic exhaust mapped with a carbon protector, KN filter, upgraded turn leds and some more minor stuff 1 year warranty Price 5k 2- KTM 690 Enduro - 2017 - 1700km Stock bike with no big extras, pretty much new of course Around a year of warranty Price 6k
On startup: The KTM Dongle only controls Partial front only ABS when connected (turned on). Bike defaults to Full ABS when the dongle is disconnected or off. For No ABS, you have to turn it off manually after starting. This is for the 2019-up models.
Maintenance intervals let you ride more than wrench, with 3,100-mile oil changes (two filters, two screens) and 6,200-mile valve checks. 2009 KTM 690 Enduro R Specs Website: www.ktmusa.com
