Mazda CX-5 - CX-5 Oil warning light - Hi, Need advice on an issue with our CX-5 - It's an 2015 2.2 Diesel (175 HP). Bought it new and now it has 60.000 km on the meter. Always followed the service plan and all scheduled maintenance being done. Now to the problem :-) Last week the oil pressure waring light came on.
Not affected, it seems. 2017 CX-5 doesn’t have cylinder deactivation and no cylinder head issues. But the 2022 CX-5 with a 2.5L NA may still have potential cracking cylinder head issue as Mazda has never mentioned they have revised the cylinder head with CD in any known documents. Excessive revs on start-up. I have a 6 month old CX-5 2.2 diesel and have suddenly in the last few weeks noticed when starting my car from cold that the revs idle at 1800 rpm and emits a toxic smell/fumes.
